Shedden Agricultural Society Fair
August 25, 26 2012
Official Opening at 1:00 pm

In 1854 the Shedden Agricultural Society was formed and the Shedden  Agricultural Fair as we know it today had its beginnings.  It was first held in Iona on the south east corner behind current day Holland House Restaurant as a plowing match event. Later it moved to the north side of Shedden by the railway system that ran through Shedden at that time and again later it was moved to the grounds on which the fair today is held. The elders of the village have worked together to improve the grounds and have since renamed them as the Keystone Complex. The name came because in the County map, the Southwold municipality has the shape of a keystone, as is commonly found in the centre of doorways and windows made of stone and brick construction of the past. You are invited to help the Shedden Agricultural Society celebrate its 157th continuous running of this event.
